First, fill out the new customer application on our website. Then, schedule a time with one of our customer service representatives to bring your pup in for a Meet and Greet. This consists of several planned exercises and supervision of your pup to determine their comfort level in group play. We also assess your pup’s social development and how they interact with our staff and other pups. We require your pup’s vaccines to be up to date and a copy of their vaccine records must be submitted to us before the Meet and Greet.
For your pup’s safety your pup must be at least four months old before starting daycare or lodging with us.
We’ll assess your pup’s playstyle during their Meet and Greet to determine which play group best suits their personality. Our playgroups are separated based on size, play style and temperament. All play groups are always supervised.
Absolutely! Every Meet and Greet includes a tour of the facility. You’ll get to see where your pup will play and stay. Plus, we post pictures of the Woof pup’s antics on Facebook daily!
For daycare and boarding guests, we require Rabies, Distemper/Parvovirus, Bivalent Canine Influenza, and Bordetella (administered every six months)
For grooming clients, we require Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper/Parvo.
For our feline spaw days we require a valid rabies vaccine and FVRCP.
Canine Influenza is a highly transmittable virus that can spread easily in a group setting. There have been recent cases in New England, and we feel strongly about keeping our pack protected from illness. It is recommended by the American Veterinary Medical Association that pups that are in group settings be vaccinated against the virus.
We provide all the comforts of home for our overnight guests, including beds, dishes, and blankets. We do not allow toys or bones to be left in your pup’s accommodations overnight for their safety, so please leave them at home. We ask that you bring your pup's food in individually portioned bags for each meal. It is best to keep your pup on the food they are accustomed to in order to minimize the risk of an upset tummy. If your pup eats wet food, please just bring the containers and we will portion it out at mealtimes.
If you are unable to portion your pup’s food in individual bags prior to checking in, we do provide that service for an additional fee.
Check-in for lodging is Monday-Friday from 8 AM-2 PM and Saturday 9 AM-1 PM. We do not offer check-in on Sundays. Check-out Monday-Friday is from 8 AM-12 PM, Saturday 10 AM-12 PM and two options for check-out on Sundays: either 10-10:30 AM or 5-5:30 PM.
If you require a later check-out time, that is not a problem. Your pup is welcome to spend the rest of the day in daycare with an additional daycare charge.
The vast majority of the pups we care for are house trained, and we carefully monitor each pup that is in our care for any problems or inconsistencies. Most dogs adjust quickly to our indoor facility and feel at ease going to the bathroom in our play areas. We have a strict cleaning protocol, so the waste is picked up immediately and sanitized with pet-safe products. Everything is disinfected at the end of the night with a hospital-grade disinfectant.
When your pup stays at Woof, it’s a very different environment from your home. If your pup is housetrained, they’ve already marked their territory in your yard and neighborhood and know where to go to the bathroom. Unless you have 20 other dogs in your living room, your pup is unlikely to start going in the house after visiting us.
We are closed to the public on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Our staff is here on those days to care for lodging guests in our care. Any closures or special hours will be communicated through email, Facebook and Instagram.
All pups over the age of one must be spayed or neutered for group play. If your pup exhibits behavioral changes that could be associated with being intact prior to turning a year old, we will request that they not return to group play until the spay/neuter is completed after which they will be reassessed for their play group.
